The Governor of the Central Bank has insisted there is no smoking gun in controversial taped conversations of former Anglo Irish Bank executives to suggest criminality.

Justice Minister Alan Shatter has weighed into the Anglo Tapes controversy by taking a swipe at former bank chief David Drumm over his claims he was being made a scapegoat.
