Two alleged people-smugglers have gone on trial in Turkey accused of causing the death of three-year-old Syrian migrant boy Alan Kurdi and four other people.

Chinese artist Ai Weiwei has recreated the famous image of three-year-old Alan Kurdi who drowned in Turkey last year by staging a photo of himself lying face down on a beach in Greece.
