Fine Gael TD Alan Farrell has been cleared of allegedly breaching Dáil rules on the use of privilege over comments he made regarding two Sinn Féin TDs.

Independent TD Clare Daly has denied she named a person under Dáil privilege who is alleging that Gardaí covered up the murder of a civilian by a member of the force.
