The sister of Aengus ‘Gussie’ Shanahan has made an emotional appeal for anyone with information on his death more than 18 years ago to help his family gain closure.

The father of missing Limerick man Aengus ‘Gussie’ Shanahan has described “being struck by a thunderbolt” after receiving confirmation from gardaí that skeletal remains found 17 years ago are that of his son.

Gardaí have renewed their appeal for information about Aengus Shanahan who went missing from Limerick 17 years ago today.
