A new study from InsureMyTrip.ca reveals the best destinations for female solo travellers. 

The travel insurance company asked participants to rate cities based on four criteria: safety, equality, tourism and cost as well as provide an overall rating for each of place. 

Europe fared best with women travellers rating these cities the best:

• Munich, Germany
• Madrid, Spain
• London, United Kingdom
• Lisbon, Portugal
• Barcelona, Spain

Four of the five cities deemed worst destinations for female solo travellers can be found in Asia:
