As the summer ends, Dublin hots up with a fantastic series of festivals and events. From September into October you can dive into thought-provoking theatre, incredible arts and big nights out. It will be brilliant!

Explore the joy of books and the written word with a stellar line up of authors and writers engaging in readings, discussions and debates.

Large scale art installations and gallery exhibitions bring high-end art to the capital featuring over 90 international and Irish artists from five continents.

Learn about fashion, get beauty tips and advice, see latest styles and trends and dress to impress.

A full to the brim festival which takes over more than 40 venues bursting at the seams with theatre, dance, comedy and spectacle.

Get to Dublin's docklands as the lively German Oktoberfest brings the best of Bavarian food, drink and entertainment to a waterside setting.

Culture Night is an evening of discovery as galleries, museums, cathedrals and tonnes more venues open their doors for citizens to explore the capital’s culture. All free.
(Sept 29 – Oct 16)
Dublin loves Drama! The Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival showcases a superb array of Irish and international theatre from high drama to wicked comedy. Readings, rehearsals and panel discussions let you get up close and personal with the best of theatre.
(Oct 6–8)
Indie music comes to the city centre as Hard Working Class Heroes brings the music of 100 bands to six venues.
(Oct 7–9)
Dublin buildings of all types and periods open their doors during Open House, allowing citizens to explore the architecture of the city with special tours by professionals and enthusiasts. All free.
