• Clonmel Junction Festival is an annual interactive family friendly arts festival which includes circus, theatre, music, dance, workshops and more. It takes place for ten days each July from the 1st - 10th in Co. Tipperary.
• Spraoi is a free family festival which takes over Waterford city from 29th to 31st July and offers visitors national and international street art and world music on the streets, squares and parks of Ireland's oldest city. Don’t miss the Sproai parade on the 31st July, with hundreds of costumed performers, spectacular floats, live original music, special effects, humour and drama.
• The Tall Ships Race stopover in Waterford from 30th June - 3rd July is set to be one of the biggest events in Ireland in 2011. The family friendly festival will host a huge selection of free events for kids including street entertainment; family fun; educational events; ship visits; fireworks; music and world-class funfair. Children and adults of all ages are being urged to climb aboard for a world record bid on the 1st July when it’s hoped to have more than 6,000 costumed pirates on the city’s quays to coincide with The Tall Ships Races.
• Killarney SummerFest takes place from the 23rd – 31st July and promises a fantastic mix of street entertainment and kiddies workshops to keep all the family entertained. The festival’s programme includes a range of activities including childrens daytime fun and family evenings. Killarney Summerfest coincides with the Irish Open in Killarney, which is perfect for mum and dad to catch up on some world-class golf.
• The Galway Arts Festival takes place from the 11th- 24th July and promises a colourful display of on street theatre and visual arts, all gathered under the creative umbrella of Galway city. The festival is great for families with highlights including; Macnas Parade, and theatre productions ‘One Small Step’ and ‘the Magnificent Mind of Daisy Dunne’
