New routes to Portugal

DIRECT Holidays’ programme for summer 2011 has 17 destinations on offer and three new routes from Cork. Prices start from €299 per person to the Algarve, while a family of four can enjoy 4-star luxury on the Costa Dorada next July for about €1,900 from any of the three main airports.

Free child, teenagers and grandparent places abound across the wide selection of properties, as do all-inclusive offerings which include meals, drinks and entertainment in certain cases.

DELPHI Mountain Resort in Connemara, Co Galway, is to host a boot camp next weekend (November 12), with personal trainer Sarah Thornton leading an action-packed itinerary.

This weekend is priced at €299 per person sharing and includes two nights bed and breakfast with two evening meals and one lunch, but with the emphasis not quite so much on the food.

The Ritz-Carlton hotel at Powerscourt, Co Wicklow, has an array of festive activities for both adults and children at Christmas.
