Painting bonus offer

THE Killarney Park Hotel, a member of The Leading Small Hotels of The World, is running a special package in conjunction with The Killarney Art Gallery next week.

The local Gallery, together with internationally acclaimed artist, Julian Friers, will host two painting demonstrations on February 27 and 28. To coincide with that, the hotel is offering two night’s stay on a bed and breakfast basis with one evening meal included for €240 per person sharing.

- ORGANISERS of the Walk Killarney – Kerry Way Programme say the Kerry Way Walk 2 Days at a Time series will resume on the weekend prior to St Patrick’s Day and they have added two days of higher peak walks on the following weekend.

The Kerry Way stages will both depart by coach from Killarney Tourist Office on Beech Road at 8.30am (Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14) and the cost per walk is €25, including guide and transport to and from the stage.

The Stoompa & Mangerton trek on Saturday, March 20, will commence at 9.00am from the normal start point at the base of Mangerton. The Tomies & Purple trek on Sunday, March 21, will commence at 9am from Kate Kearney’s Cottage. The cost per walk will be €10. All must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.
