More Abu Dhabi flights
The company confirmed this week it will increase its service from March 30, and Mr Hogan said he was confident it would be of mutual benefit to the airline and consumer. More than 50,000 passengers have flown on the Dublin to Abu Dhabi route since its launch — with an average seat factor of more than 80% and an impressive 73% in business class.
Etihad operates a three-cabin A330-200 to Dublin, configured to carry 200 passengers, offering the airline’s first and business class flatbed seat. The company has tailored many of a huge range of onward flights to suit arrivals/departures between the two cities, with particular emphasis on short transfer times.

* NOTHING can beat new products, and Keycamp appears to have come up with something that’s bound to be a hit with some clients at least!
It’s not for the infirm, but for those with the energy and ability to climb, then tree house holidays might be just what the doctor ordered.
On specific sites in France, notably La Croix du Vieux Pont in Berny Riviere (a campsite used by many companies for Disney Paris clients), one can book a tree house elevated up to five metres from the ground but still live in the lap of luxury.
OK, you’ve got to climb up a spiral staircase, but you will get thatched-roofed accommodation with two sleeping areas with one double and four single beds, plus large decked terrace.
A fully-equipped tent with all kitchen facilities is provided on the ground for cooking and, should the occasional night on terra-firma be preferred, it also has beds. Check availability at www.keycamp.ie or call 021-425 2300. Prices for a family of two adults and four kids start at €754 for May 26 departure at selected sites.
* ABBEY Travel has expanded its South American programme to include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Ecuador. The company offers a variety of itineraries with land packages for all destinations, tailormade to individual requirements. Details at www.abbeytravel.ie.
* KEYTEL International, under the guidance of Irish representative Lorna Roberts have launched another Paradores special venture from Ireland for May.
Paradores have become a popular holiday option, details of which are available on www.lornarobertsholidays.com.
Check out a seven day trip to Sandiago De Compostela and Baiona between May 6 and 13; it’s aimed at golfers, but there’s enough extra activity organised to make it interesting for those who don’t want to slug it out in the bunkers.
