Here comes summer ’07

LONG established Irish travel company JWT Holidays has come up with next year’s summer brochure before this summer is even over.

The 2007 offerings include breaks from as little as €199, but the price depends, of course, on the destination and how early you’re all prepared to put deposits on the line for a year ahead.

Those prepared to wrest some money from the bank by September 30 can get special offers, some so complicated only JWT staff could possibly spell them out.

Telephone JWT on 1850 45 35 45, or pop into any of Falcon Travel Shop nationwide or your local agent.

* IRISH FERRIES has launched its Mini Cruise to France programme. The deal is effective from the end of this month into next at a return fare of €99 per adult and €39 for children. Two or more adults travelling together can have a car fare for an extra €59.

There’s also up to 30% savings on short break stays up to six nights.

See www.irishferries.com or telephone 0818 300 400 or any travel agent.

* FAMILIES can save up to 15% on brochure prices on two or three bedroom self-catering accommodation at selected Haven & British Holidays parks with Stena Line. Holidays start at €1,091 for a seven-night break in either two bedroom mobile homes or apartments. Included in the price is return Stena Superferry crossings by car.

An additional €32 per car is payable each way for Stena Line Fastcraft crossings. The offer includes Hafan y Môr in Wales, Cala Gran in England and Craig Tara in Scotland. Call Stena Line on 01 204 7733 or visit your local travel agent.

* MOBILE HOME breaks at €45 per family per night are on offer by Canvas Holidays. The deal applies to many European campsites in September and means a family of two adults and up to four children will pay just over €315 for a seven-night holiday. This includes accommodation only, in a two-bedroom mobile home. Bookings must be made by September 6.

Locations include Chambéry in the French Alps, a small and relaxed family-run site ideal for walking and cycling or, for the more adventurous, rafting, paragliding and rock climbing. Phone 1890 923 045 or go to www.canvasholidays.ie.

* TRIM CASTLE HOTEL, the first four-star luxury hotel in the Trim area, has opened for business.

A special opening offer of two nights’ B&B and dinner in Jules Restaurant, is available midweek from €139 pps and €169 per person sharing at weekends.

The new hotel has 68 spacious guest rooms, 19 deluxe and family rooms, and top class dining facilities that the owners believe will set a new standard in the area.

To book, or for information, contact see www.trimcastlehotel.com or telephone 046 948 3000.
