Things can only get better in West Cork

Maybe things are better in rural Ireland. West Cork Tourism recently produced a 28-page magazine to give an overview of the main events going on in the area for the next few months, but it is priced at €2.

The problem is that many tourists don't tend to want to pay for guides.

I hope I'm wrong, though, and that with or without the guide, West Cork does a booming trade this summer (if and when it comes). One doubts whether things will get any better anywhere.

The weather is bad, the spirits are dampened. This has been a bad, bad year for Irish consumers. Somebody will have to pay but who?
