Reality TV star Maura Higgins has been named among the world's most influential online personalities, making TIME'S 100  Creators list.

The Longford woman is one of 100 people selected for inclusion in the annual list, which recognises digital content creators shaping global culture.

In its profile of Higgins, TIME said that while not everyone who appears on reality television possesses an ability to achieve celebrity status, the former Love Island contestant had “crossed that Rubicon”.

Reacting to the news, Higgins said she is "so grateful" for her inclusion in the list.

It all started for Higgins in 2019 when she appeared on Love Island, where she became a fan favourite for her Irish humour and straight-up delivery. Since then, she has racked up more than 4.3 million followers on Instagram and 1.6 million on TikTok, where she shares fashion, beauty and lifestyle content alongside updates from her television career.

She made waves stateside when she joined Love Island USA in 2023, but she really made her mark when she took part in season four of The Traitors US, where she won audiences’ hearts with her aghast reaction to winner Rob Rausch's betrayal at the end of the show.

Higgins has also been confirmed to take part in ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, which is expected to air in the fall.

Appearing alongside Higgins on the list are a host of high-profile creators, including Mr Beast, Khaby Lame, Kai Cenat, Max Miller, Leah Thomas, Sean Evans, Alix Earle and Olivia 'Livvy' Dunne.

The list features people from more than a dozen countries who post their work across social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch, Substack and Spotify.

The annual TIME 100 Creators event will be held in New York City on July 30, bringing together honorees to celebrate their contributions to digital culture.
