Caroline Flack’s brother has died, six years after the TV presenter took her own life.

Graphic designer Paul Flack, 55, was found unresponsive at his home in Norwich on June 21, and later died in the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, an inquest has been told.

The BBC reports that the Norfolk Coroners' Court heard a provisional cause of death was cardiac arrest caused by hanging.

A full inquest into his death will take place in October.

He was the older brother of TV presenter Caroline Flack and both siblings were born in London but grew up in Norfolk.

Caroline was known for presenting  Love Island and took her own life at the age of 40 in February 2020 after learning that prosecutors were going to press ahead with an assault charge, which came after she hit her boyfriend Lewis Burton with her phone over concerns he had been cheating on her.

Her death sparked a debate about online hate and its impact on mental health.
