“My fiancé Emmet drove an Enterprise van around rural Ireland for a month and a half to move the set and production manage a play I wrote. I had promised we’d write the play together — but I accidentally wrote it alone. He still loved me enough to do a thankless task and put his life (and our wedding planning) on hold, and tell me I was brilliant every artistically faltering step of the way. He is the brilliant one — who knew there could be so much love in a rental van?”
