My Wedding Day: Rob Heffernan says he would 'love to go back and take it all in again'

"We had a big wedding, there were 245 guests, so the church was packed. But it was a lovely time, just me and Marian up at the altar, and it was surreal looking at the faces around me, and Marian standing next to me."

We got married on the 10 October 2009. We picked October because it’s off-season for competing. We were both at World Championships that year, and that would have been our month off. 

So it meant we could get married and go on honeymoon and not miss any big races. And a lot of our friends at the time would have been athletes as well so it was a convenient time of the year for everyone.
