RTÉ 2FM presenter Laura Fox announced her engagement to long-term partner, Brian Moran, on her radio show.
The couple were on holiday in Mexico when Moran popped the question.
Speaking on her RTÉ 2FM show today, Fox said: "I had the most unbelievable holiday. I had a good lie-down holiday. I know I was telling you all about that before I was leaving. It's been an absolute mental year - in the best possible way.
"But I just wanted to go away on holidays, lie down, and not really do anything.
"But for our anniversary, I humoured Brian for a few minutes and went to the waterpark with him.
"We had the best day, we just had so much craic, came home, went for dinner, and because it was the first time on the trip that I was standing up, Brian decided that he was going to drop down on one knee and ask me to marry him!
"And I know what you're thinking - it's only been nine years! It's kind of quick! But I think I'm pretty sure and I said yes!
"So, good morning, everybody! I'm going to be married!"
Following her public announcement, Fox took to Instagram to drop a photo dump of her posing with the new engagement ring. The post included pictures of the couple in different locations as well as a mirror selfie.
She wrote: “It was always forever B Balls, but now, it’s forever with a ring. I love you so much I could burst!”
Just ten days ago, the Ireland’s Fittest Family host and her partner celebrated their nine year anniversary – or nine and a half, as she put it.
She posted some photos of the two on Instagram and said: “Nine official years of you and me B Balls.
“9 and a half years because I made you work for 6 months while I was sworn off relationships and [thank God] you are the most persistent person I know. Love you so much. Love that we just agreed that Thursday raceweek is our anniversary for life.”
Her posts have been flooded with well-wishes from fans and friends of the couple alike.
