Katie Piper admits she’s not really the sort of mum to get down on the floor and roar like a dinosaur to entertain her kids. Nevertheless, she’s not going to let her dinosaur inhibitions affect playtime fun – and she’s on a mission to get other parents to make the most of play too.

New research by Disney has found 60% of parents of children under 12 have ‘forgotten’ how to use their imagination when it comes to play, with 45% saying family life is too busy, and more than three-quarters (77%) admitting they feel uninspired and lost when it comes to planning ways to play.
