Tots to Teens: Early events to welcome the new year

Personalised book crate from the Wild Tribe, €29.95.

HOW are you and your family planning to celebrate New Year’s Eve?

The NYF Dublin Procession is an option for those in or near Ireland’s capital city. This free parade featuring marching bands and street performers will wind its way through the city centre between 4pm and 5pm.

Free celebrations are being organised in Kerry too. From 5pm, Tralee’s Denny Street will be the location for a street party featuring live entertainment from local musician David Lynch. The festivities will culminate with a fireworks display at 7pm.

Dingle is renowned for its New Year’s Eve fireworks. The light show is launched from the Dingle Marina every year, and is scheduled to take place at 8pm tomorrow, weather permitting.

Mum Talks

Calling all mums. Has Christmas left you feeling exhausted? Give yourself something fun to look forward to by booking a ticket to a Mum Talks event in the Castletroy Park Hotel on January 28.

Mum Talks is an events company that aims to support, inspire, and empower women through their motherhood journey with in-person and online meet-ups, events, talks, and workshops.

This upcoming event in Limerick is the first such event to take place in the county, and promises to be a great way for mums to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

Taking place from 10.30am to 12pm, it will consist of a light breakfast, and tea and coffee, as well as an opportunity to hear from three different speakers. Former primary school teacher, child psychotherapist, and play therapist Cathy O’Byrne will talk about the power of play and playfulness in supporting the parent-child connection.

Ixis Santos, the founder of Forest Mist Skincare, will discuss what can be done to restore balance and comfort to sensitive, reactive, and problematic skin. And mum-of-two coach Jo O’Riordan will share what mums can do to move out of stress and survival mode into clarity and self-confidence. Time will also be set aside for mums to mingle and connect.

Find out more and book tickets, see mumtalks.ie.
