Five touching little acts of kindness performed by children around Ireland
Some of the many children whose acts of kindness are being highlighted by the Irish Examiner this Christmas
Our Little acts of Kindness campaign is back for 2025 and we are inviting parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties, guardians, coaches, teachers and babysitters to nominate a child they think deserves recognition for their good deeds.
On Saturday, December 20, we’ll publish as many names as possible, with all names entered into a draw for a voucher and each child will get a complimentary Certificate of Kindness to celebrate their thoughtful actions.
Here are some of the entries we've received so far, and you can still nominate someone by clicking here.Â

"My two daughters opened a souvenir shop called ‘Super Sister’s Souvenir Shop’ selling handmade bead bracelets and necklaces, pom-poms and hair claw clips. The shop was in our garden and opened to neighbours, family and friends. They raised over €300 for Make-A-Wish Foundation."

"Arabella runs a little egg business, where she adopts rescue hens. She sells her eggs to the local people. For the past two years, she has donated her egg money to LOFFA on Rainbow Day."

"Nicole showed exceptional kindness by selling a large number of raffle tickets to support her school’s sensory garden fundraiser. She went out one or two evenings each week, visiting neighbours and encouraging them to support the cause, demonstrating dedication, generosity, and community spirit."

"Aoife’s favourite thing to do is to let people go in front of her in the queue while doing our weekly shopping. She has made so many people smile and has been told that she has made their day much better. She always tells them it's her act of kindness."

"Rex very kindly donated a huge car load of his toys to the St. Vincent De Paul shop in Blarney this year and last year. He believes that there are a lot of kids out there that could use these toys more than he does. He is so kind and thoughtful."
