Tots to Teens: A soothing soap for sensitive skin made on a family farm

Bó Bar Soaps are handmade on the family farm

Gail Daniels’ daughter developed eczema at the age of two, and the Kilkenny-based mum was advised to use steroid creams and a range of increasingly harsh lotions on her sensitive skin. None of them worked, so Daniels resorted to using whole milk from the cows on her family farm to create a soothing soap.

That’s Bó Bar Soap's origin story: soaps free from palm oil, parabens, synthetic colours and chemicals. The range includes the original base recipe, which is plain and unscented, and bars of soap that contain essential oils and other natural ingredients such as honey and oats, tea tree, lavender, calendula and nettle.
