People wrapped up in their hats, scarves and warm jackets over the weekend to get out and about in the snowfall

People donned their hats and scarves and endured the freezing temperatures to get out in the snow that fell over the weekend.

Snow, ice and heavy rain were forecast by Met Éireann and two distinct status orange weather alerts were issued for a combined total of 10 counties from Saturday afternoon.
