It might be early October, but one Christmas tradition is already on the shelves.

In its 11th year of partnership with RTÉ, Penneys has unveiled its annual Late Late Toy Show pyjama collection.

The range includes matching festive print pyjamas for adults, children and even pets, along with cosy accessories including a pair of warm fluffy socks, blanket and owl plush toy. The range starts from just €7 and the collection is available in Penneys stores nationwide from today.

Penneys also confirmed it will donate €100,000 to the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal and a further €50,000 to Children’s Health Foundation. They will also deliver special Late Late Toy Show pyjamas to children spending Toy Show night in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly, helping bring a little extra comfort and festive cheer.

“We hope that our €150,000 donation to RTÉ’s Toy Show Appeal and Children’s Health Foundation will support the incredible work being done for children and families across Ireland,” says Fintan Costello, Head of Penneys Ireland and Northern Ireland.

“One of the most special moments each year is delivering our pyjamas to children spending Toy Show night in hospital, hopefully bringing a little extra Christmas magic to those families.”

“Christmas is such a magical time for families, but for children who must spend it in hospital, it can be a very different experience. It’s always so special to see the smiles on their faces when they receive their Toy Show pyjamas – a small gesture that can bring a little magic to their day,” says Fionnuala O Leary, CEO at Children's Health Foundation.

“We’re incredibly thankful to Penneys for continuing to think of children in hospital and for helping Children’s Health Foundation to save a smile this Christmas.”

The Late Late Toy Show airs on Friday, December 4.
