Desire Lines: Woolly wonders, Christmas presents and more
Some of what we're loving this weekend

London designer Damson Madder has teamed up with crafting company Wool and the Gang to offer what’s sure to be a much-desired gift for crafters this festive season.
The Damson bonnet kit allows you to choose from a range of beautiful colours (duck egg blue, buttercup yellow, mellow mauve, brown sugar...) to create your own perfectly unique ‘Madder’.
The wool is an alpaca-merino blend from Peru. From €62.

Lidl teamed up with Oliver Dunne for Feast, a unique pop-up experience using all of the supermarket’s products to create two extraordinary six-course Christmas dinners.
One: A spin on the traditional dinner with gems like lobster and prawn cocktail, whiskey-infused smoked salmon vol au vents, and brandy crumble mince pies.
The other: An alternative approach for the more adventurous this festive season, with plenty of treats like duck breast and dark chocolate gravy as a main.
Our happiest find? Dundalgan Espresso Martini flavour country cream. The perfect after dinner liqueur (or Christmas Eve treat). €11.99.

Lir Chocolates have joined forces with MoMuse for Gratitude Weekend.
Customers who visit MoMuse in Powerscourt Townhouse from November 28-30 will receive a free box of Lir Salted Chocolate Caramel Truffles.
Plus the Irish jewellery brand is offering 10% off selected lines that same weekend.
Both brands started small — MoMuse began on Cow Lane — and the women behind the labels took a slow, steady, and sustainable approach to business.
Pay a visit for a quality take on Black Friday. And check out the Gold Filled Satellite Bean Necklace, €90, for classic Christmas gifting.

Irish landscape photographer Norman McCloskey has published his fourth book, Headlands, featuring 114 images capturing the beauty of West Cork, from Kinsale to the Beara Peninsula.
Some of Ireland’s most iconic locations feature, but headlands are a focus, dotted with castles, tower houses, signal towers and navigational markers.
Available in a standard edition for €45. All images from the book are available to purchase as prints and can be viewed at the photographer’s gallery in Kenmare.

Folláin, the family-owned Irish preserves company, returns with its #TheGiftofHome campaign in support of the Simon Communities of Ireland.
Until December 31, the company will donate 50% of all proceeds from online sales to Simon, continuing a partnership that has already raised €58,000 since it began in 2021.
The campaign coincides with the launch of Folláin’s Christmas online gift shop, from The 12 Days of Christmas Preserves — 12 surprise preserves to savour in the lead-up to Christmas, €14.99 — to the 12 Days of Cheese Pairings, 12 relish and chutney mini pots, it is the perfect accompaniment to festive cheeseboards, €14.99.

The Winter Green Collection features three signature pieces — a large mug, medium bowl, and everyday plate — available individually or as a matching trio set.
Think festive mugs of hot chocolate, bowls of hearty winter stew, and plates of mince pies. Christmas trio set, €120.
