Director's Cut: 8 new beauty products to check out this month

1. CeraVe Advanced Repair Ointment, (RRP €15.50)

One of those products that does (almost) everything, the Advanced Repair Ointment is an ultra-nourishing balm that hydrates, locks in moisture and protects while restoring and repairing the skin barrier.

If you’re someone who has suffered from an impaired barrier, you will be familiar with how, when compromised, the skin goes into full meltdown mode.

The Advanced Repair Ointment is great at rectifying this.

2. Chloé, Nomade Nuit d’Égypte (€79 for 30ml, Meaghers Pharmacy)

Nomade Nuit d’Égypte is an homage to Maison Chloé creator Gaby Aghion’s homeland.

The main notes are myrrh, spiced ginger and cinnamon, followed by honeyed hues of broomflower nectar. Orange blossom too — another ingredient from Egypt — gives the fragrance an unexpected warmth and sensuality.

Reflecting Chloé’s commitment to sustainability, the packaging uses 15% recycled glass for the bottle and 40% recycled cardboard for the FSC-certified box.

3. Nuxe Global Anti-Ageing Cream (€63 for 50ml Cloud 10 Beauty)

Nuxe’s new range, the Nuxuriance Ultra Alfa, boasts technology that is allegedly more effective than retinol, marking a revolutionary milestone in the beauty industry.

The Global Anti-Ageing Cream uses alfa [3R] technology to target the main signs of ageing and reveal visibly more youthful skin.

The range also includes a full suite of products: including an anti-dark spot serum (30ml, €66) and targeted eye & lip contour (15ml, €50) which also target signs of ageing in a new and exciting way.

4. No7 HydraLuminous+ Cooling Eye Gel 15ml (€16.95, Boots)

No7’s latest drop features an eye gel that provides an instant cooling effect upon application.

Enriched with sodium hyaluronate, a derivative of hyaluronic acid, this deeply nourishes and soothes the delicate eye area, whilst also delivering skin that makes you look like you’ve gotten a decent sleep.

5. Laneige Glow Lip Glowy Mask Berries (€20, SpaceNK)

Laneige lip products are renowned: they are nourishing, non-sticky yet glossy and smell heavenly.

The famous overnight Lip Sleeping Mask is a non-negotiable part of any luxurious nighttime beauty routine, but this more transportable tube version is perfect for daily top-ups.

6. K18 Damage Shield Protective Conditioner (RRP €45)

Those of us with damaged hair know all about K18.

The revolutionary mask protects the hair at a molecular level to prevent loss and further damage from daily damaging elements, like UV rays, environmental aggressors, and mechanical styling.

The new Damage Shield products — a shampoo and conditioner — are to be used on the days you don’t use the aforementioned mask, to keep hair protected from environmental aggressors for up to three days.

7. Burberry Goddess Eau De Parfum (RRP €157)

Headed up by Sex Education star Emma Mackey, this new scent from Burberry is luxurious and a wholly new take on vanilla fragrance.

Collected by hand, vanilla beans are sent to spend five to seven weeks drying in the sun, before they are then stored in wooden boxes to mature and develop their sweet signature aroma.

8. Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Beauty Icons Lipsticks and Lip Cheats (€34, Brown Thomas)

Charlotte Tilbury is expanding her world-famous Hollywood franchise with a myriad of new lipsticks and liners in new shades and updated formulas.

The full suite of products claims to contour your lips, while adding light-diffusing filters to create the Hollywood effect she is known for in her Flawless Filter and Beauty Wand products.
