The end of January. Just when you think winter is over, you realise–not quite. As we await spring’s imminent collections, now is the perfect time to consider what we already have with fresh eyes. Often, all it takes is a small tweak, like an accessory, to reimagine a tired wardrobe. And with 2024 gifting us multiple iterations of the belt, getting dressed just got a lot more interesting.

The incoming season’s presiding theme is ‘low-slung’. From cowgirl buckles to studded punk styles, Y2K definitely got an overdue glow-up. Thankfully, mastering the trend doesn’t mean succumbing to hip-slung jeans or naked midriffs. Much like ‘the wrong shoe theory’, its newness lies in the unexpected.
