Given the times in which we live, the most popular iterations are rendered in soft fabrics and augmented silhouettes to allow for a modicum of ease.

Bonus points: Button the sleeve cuff; pull the sleeve as far as comfortable up the arm and balloon the fabric.

Double Duty: Mini shirt dresses make mighty layering pieces. Wear yours over leather culottes or cashmere joggers.
Fun fact: In 1783 French queen Marie Antoinette wore her bed shirt a dress with a silk sash, pre-dating the underwear as outerwear trend.
