On the red carpet: Kate Hudson, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Leslie Mann and Julie Bowen

Kate Hudson was gorgeous in next-season J.Mendel at the Baby2Baby Gala in Culver City, California.

I usually find Mendel’s gowns pretty bland but Kate glams this one up with a glowing makeup, tousled waves and an Edie Parker clutch.

Winter florals have been a bit of a theme this week, with lots of stars pulling bloom-covered designs from current and next-season collections.

Here’s Jenna Dewan-Tatum at the Baby2Baby Gala in a ruffled Marchesa gown with a beaded floral bust.

Leslie Mann was lovely in a white branch and bird-printed gown at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 8th Annual Governors Awards in LA.

The gown is by Monique Lhuillier. Leslie never forgets to match her lip colour to something she is wearing.

Julie Bowen also went with flora and fauna this week, choosing a heavily-embroidered Alberta Ferretti column for the Baby2Baby Gala.

The Modern Family star’s gown is super-pretty but could do with more interesting accessories around the neck and shoulder.
