This season, the look has morphed from free-spirited bohemia into a more considered capsule. Think button down skirts, trenches, shift dresses and hobo bags – seasonless style for the savvy shopper.

On a budget? Look to practical pieces in darker colours that warrant suede’s heftier price tag.

Garments that boast jersey panelling, especially on the seams, prove less restrictive and easier to wear.

Showers, hail, snow and sleet don’t mix with suede’s open pores. Avoid inevitable water stains by weather-proofing your garments with suede spray.
