Tried and tested: Bobbi Brown Artstick Trio lipliner
The colours go from chic to poker hot and they last for at least half a day after application.
Harlow Red is a statement lip red with a good brown undertone that works well on paler skin, Brown Berry is great for when you’re going for a more natural look and is great with smokey eyes, while Electric Pink has a lot of red/brown undertones so you won’t make you look like something from 1980s group Bananarama.
Each pack comes with a special supersized pencil sharpener, as artsticks are bigger than your typical chunky pencil lippie.
You will need to keep the sharpener in your make-up bag — for the artstick to work as a lipliner, it will need to be freshly pointed.
Once you’ve lined the lip, just fill it in with a blunter tip or with the side of the pencil.
When you find lipstick that stays put there has to be some kind of pay-off.
With a matt finish, these lip products are longer-lasting than conventional lipstick.
But matt lippies can dry the lips. So if you are using them, exfoliate your lips and/or use lip balm to keep them soft in between. Some people may even like to apply gloss on top.
