The delicate Victorian-inspired design looked pretty at the Women of the Year event in London. Erdem’s conservative A-line midi-dresses best suit tall ladies like Nicole. black Rupert Sanderson heels are a tasteful addition.

Lady Gaga’s Marc Jacobs jacket and skirt are artfully-detailed and interesting, just not terribly flattering. You have to admire her commitment to eye-catching looks but a little tailoring wouldn’t have gone amiss here, especially around the waist and shoulders. The clashing Brian Atwood shoes might offend some eyes but fuchsia against tomato-red is not so off-putting as a bad fit.
