I’m sure this looks as pretty and flowing in motion as it did on the catwalk but it is underwhelming in photos. The Paul Andrew sandals are cute.
Rooney Mara looked very chic in a hooped Chanel Couture pinafore at the New York premiere of Carol. I like the diamond-textured patent leather on the top tier. She accessorised with a plaited bun and last autumn’s Givenchy ‘Matilda’ sandals.
Cate Blanchett was equally cutting-edge in Yasine Auoadi at the same premiere. This dress is from the first couture collection by the Balmain alumnus. Victorian-inspired with trompe l’oeil tattoos, it is definitely the choice of an actress in step with the fashion industry.
Amanda Heard’s Dolce and Gabbana cocktail dress was a safe but undeniably flattering choice for the London premiere of Black Mass. The simple black Jimmy Choos and subtle lace detailing left her free to pile on jewellery by Rachel Katz, Broken English and Anita Ko.
