On the red carpet: Chanel Iman, Ashley Judd, Ivanka Trump, Jennifer Conolly

Chanel Iman chose this beautiful blue Zuhair Murad gown for the 2015 White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington DC. 

Catwalk models don’t seem like obvious invitees to such an event (twit-dubbed #NerdProm), but they certainly upped the glam-factor.

Ashley Judd wore a lavender-print Badgely Mischka gown to the same event, accessorising with a silver clutch and heels by the same designer. Her large floral hairpiece takes this springtime look a clip too far.

Ivanka Trump’s stunning Zac Posen gown was my favourite look on the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner red carpet. There’s a fishtail curve that makes her hem look very modern. White diamonds and a red box clutch finished the look beautifully.

Jennifer Connolly donned Louis Vuitton for the New York premiere of Aloft at Tribeca Film Festival. The actress wears a lot of Vuitton on the red carpet but this dress is an uncharacteristically bold choice for her and quite a nice one.
