Occupation:

Founder and Head Designer of the luxury womenswear label, Angela Beaumont

What are you wearing?

Today I’m wearing new pieces from my latest autumn/winter 2015 collection (pre-order at www.angela-beaumont.com:) a Toscana lambskin fur and cowhide leather jacket (€1,755); silk shirt (€260); silk trousers (€280) and a black leather bag from Industry (€225).

Describe your style in three words?

Sharp, timeless, adventurous.

How long does it take you to get dressed in the morning?

Surprisingly, not longer than an hour!

Fashion or function – which word best describes your attitude to clothes and why?

Both. I need to be comfortable (my days are very long) yet smart and professional as I’m meeting clients. Fashion is equally important, as the clothing I wear represents my ideas of design and the type of cuts I develop in my ready-to-wear collections.

What’s your biggest source of style inspiration?

People — how they move, how they style themselves and how they ‘re behaviour changes with the type of clothing they wear.

Where do you like to shop?

Vintage stores, eBay and clothing from new designers online.

Who or what is Ireland’s greatest undiscovered gem?

Cork’ s Miss Daisy Blue. This vintage store has some fabulous accessories, knitwear, blouses and evening dresses.

Why does your style/outfit work?

It combines classic cuts in the finest silk fabrics with a leather and fur hero jacket.
