In an experiment by the makers of Juvederm facial fillers, when women in their 50s were shown a range of photos of their face retouched to different degrees and asked to pick their favourite, all chose the image that kept most of their lines.
Encouragingly, when members of the public were shown the same images, nearly two thirds agreed the women looked better with their wrinkles intact.
