Street trend: Nathalie Tobin

What are you wearing?

A Penneys jumper (€17), Zara skirt (€29.95), T.K. Maxx boots (€30), a necklace from a Milan market (€12), Accessorize bag (€35); the rings are a present from my boyfriend Mike.

Describe your style in three words?

Inexpensive, quirky, unique.

How long does it take you to get ready?

About 20 minutes including hair and make-up as I normally plan my outfit the night before.

Fashion or function – which word best describes your attitude to clothes and why?

Both. I would never wear anything that I would feel uncomfortable in and I never understood why people don’t dress for the weather. However, I’m a big nerd glasses fan even when they are not necessity.

What’s your biggest source of style inspiration?

Instagram and watching lookbooks on YouTube. The thing that really catches my eye is people’s confidence in what they’re wearing.

Where do you like to shop?

I always seem to pick up a good bargain in Penneys and T.K. Maxx. Zara and Topshop are definitely my favourite place in which to browse around.

Who or what is Ireland’s greatest undiscovered gem?

Kay Bells of Ruby Robin Boutique, Cork.

Her necklaces and rings are wearable memories and sentimental keepsakes for the modern day romantic.

Verdict: Does Nathalie's style/outfit work?

The midi skirt is on trend and comfy. The jumper makes the look more casual and the colours work well together. A definite yes.
