Suki Waterhouse’s blue Burberry Prorsum dress looked fresh and fun at the British Fashion Awards.

A civilian might wear a bra under such sheer tiers. I like her gold-foil sandals but the box tote is very twee and all wrong for evening-wear.

A nice three-piece suit is always welcome on the red carpet but Ashley Madekwe’s Banana Republic ensemble has a more than a hint of the Elvis impersonator about it, though the waistcoat is flattering and I do like her ruby lipstick and Katherine Hepburn waves.

Attention Tom Ford fans: This is a look from the lesser-spotted Spring 2015 collection! Rita Ora braved one of the Texan’s bondage-inspired gowns at this week’s British Fashion Awards. She copied the catwalk styling, right down to her sandals and stockings.

Let’s appreciate Tom Hiddleston’s awesome John Lobb oxfords and slim-cut Alexander McQueen tuxedo with silk-satin shawl collar and skull-detailed bow tie. The Thor star was best dressed and Best Actor at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards.
