Street trend: Lisa Meldrum

Name: Lisa Meldrum

Street trend: Lisa Meldrum

Occupation: Proprietor of Blush Boutique

From: Douglas, Co Cork

What are you wearing? Eva Kayan leather look jacket (€197), Leidrio skinny jeans (€150) and Leidro sequin t-shirt (€90) from Blush Boutique, Douglas Village Shopping Centre; Marc O’Polo ankle boots (€190) from Pure, Douglas Village Shopping Centre and a Louis Vuitton scarf which was a present from my husband.

Describe your style in three words? Smart, dressy and functional.

Fashion or function — which word best describes your attitude to clothes and why? Both are equally important. I adore clothes, but I’m a busy mother and work full-time so clothing has to be practical for a busy day but be equally stylish.

What’s your biggest source of style inspiration? Pinterest is my newest find. It’s amazing, you could spend the day browsing through it. I think everybody would have to admit there is nothing like flicking through a big glossy magazine and, of course when I am abroad buying for Blush I just love to watch people.

Where do you like to shop? Blush of course — if you’re looking for smart, casual or dressy, you will not be disappointed. I also love Monreal in the Winthrop Arcade and Lady Lydia’s in Kanturk, Co Cork.

Who or what is Ireland’s greatest undiscovered gem? That would have to be Salingers on French Church Street for style advice and clothes with a difference.

Why does your style/outfit work? It’s stylish enough for work, bang on trend for SS14; comfortable enough for running around. The separates also work well individually and with the rest of my wardrobe.
