Street trend: Daniel Mahon
Cork
A top hat from Maz Accessories, an original, 1920s blazer from Mercury Goes Retrograde, a Red Herring shirt and trousers, Serge Blanco satchel and Topman shoes. The bow tie is my own design.
Vintage, dapper and quirky.
Most people would say fashion, as I wear shirts and waistcoats just going to the shops but, personally, I believe I have a good balance of fashionable clothes that are functional, as well.
Parisian style. I just love how getting dressed is thought-out and planned. Instagram and Pinterest are great sources of inspiration, as are vintage clothing eras.
I think Irish street style is brilliant. You really can see so much, just walking down Patrick Street. I love to see how fashion-conscious people interpret a style or trend in their own way.
Salingers and Serge Blanco; Miss Daisy Blue, Harlequin and Mercury Goes Retrograde, for vintage; Penneys, Brown Thomas (for those special pieces), and Printemps in Paris.
Emer and Viv — the two amazing ladies that run Cork Fashion Week who, last year, gave me the chance to showcase my first collection at the Designer of the Year Awards show.
There is a good balance of smart casual in this outfit — the blazer can be dressed-down with a t-shirt or made classic look with a white shirt; the trousers are also a nice, bright colour for the winter.
