Beyoncé isn’t getting much love for her H&M bikini shots (which reportedly offend the eyes of New York commuters) but wasn’t her rendition of ‘Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend’ for the Emporio Armani Diamonds ad fab? Fancy another best friend on your dressing table? The brand updates the glamorous scent with Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose. This sweeter, fruitier take on the original contains bergamot, raspberry, blackcurrant and Bulgarian rose. I especially like the bottle, which resembles a palm-sized pink diamond.

Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose, €44.50 for 50ml, available at Arnotts from Jun 12 and nationwide from Jul 1.

Boho-glam designer Matthew Williamson is taking a stylish stride into beauty with a new Benefit collaboration. The Rich is Back is an eye, lip and cheek palette inspired by the Seventies, a decade that frequently influences his clothes. The pack is covered with prints from his label’s archive and includes three Benefit best-sellers: They’re Real mascara, Gimme Fever cheek powder and Inferno lipgloss. The real gems are the eye-shadows: a trio of shimmering nudes and a rich teal. These exclusive shades are based on Williamson’s favourite portrait by legendary fashion photographer Guy Bourdin.

The Rich is Back, €37, is available Jun 15

Get your caffeine hit before hitting the kitchen with Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer, €27. Heralded as “an energy drink for the skin,” the oil-free formula is fortified with coffee bean-extract and Panax ginseng, a natural stimulant that boosts circulation. Grapefruit, peppermint and lemon oils clear your head. This cream can be used anytime but is especially good at de-puffing “pillow face” after a late night. It moisturises lightly so layer it over a hydrating serum if your skin is prone to dryness.

Beachy waves are the sexy alternative to heat-stressed hair favoured by Gisele and Rosie Huntington-Whitely. Enhance your natural waves with Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Foam Wash Shampoo, €24, and Surf Creme Rinse Conditioner, €27. These lightweight products smell of seaside holidays and texturise your hair as seawater would, thanks to a salty mineral blend. Kelp and sea fennel extracts give your mane a hydrated, airy softness.

Amphitrite also inspired Bobbi Brown’s Sea Pearls makeup collection, on counters today. Use the pink coral blush, €26, on cheeks as a warm, soft alternative to bronzer. Flatter your natural pout with the Shimmer lipgloss in Pink Seashell, €24. The Pearly Pink Shimmer nail polish, €14, is a ladylike shade that looks great with a tan. The highlight of the collection is the Shimmer Brick eye palette, €53, a stack of 10 colours ranging from frothy pink to sea-glass green and sandy taupe. Each shadow goes on as a shimmery wash, so you can use five on various parts of the eye area without looking overdone.

In the Nineties, Carrie Bradshaw labelled the obsessive examination of one’s pores “Secret Single Behaviour”. According to The New York Times, US dermatologists now encounter this so often they’ve named it “porexia”. Pore size is mostly genetically determined and increases with age and loss of collagen. No7’s Beautiful Skin Pore Minimising Serum, €19, contains p-Refinyl (a sebum-controlling lentil extract) and Dermapur (balancing Meadowsweet extract), which conceal enlarged pores after initial use and work to reduce their visibility over time. This silky serum can be worn as a makeup base and under your night cream.

Available at Boots from Jun 12

If you have spent time Down Under you’re probably already a fan of Jurlique, the country’s leading organic skincare brand. Founder Dr Jurgen Klein is a German biochemist who spent years in research and development for Dr Hauschka before establishing Jurlique in South Australia, where the climate favours the biodynamic farm that produces the skincare’s ingredients. The new Rose Moisture Plus Mask, €38.50, diminishes visible signs of dehydration and premature aging. The creamy formula contains rosehip oil, which is rich in essential fatty acids and helps the skin retain moisture. An additional blend of rose essential oils boosts radiance. Use this as a 10-minute treatment or wear overnight for intense hydration.
