Bobbi Brown illuminating finishing powder, €55.
“This gives warmth to fair skin and I can get away without wearing foundation with it as it stops shiny noses. It’s a great, everyday product. Just fantastic.”
Burt’s Bees beeswax lip balm, €3.95
“During the day, I go for lip balm. I really like the Burt’s Bees balms, because beeswax seals in hydration. This one has a bit of peppermint too, which gives a bit of a kick as well as shine.”
Clinique high-impact lip colour in sassy spice, €19.
“I had used Clinique’s different lipstick in golden raisin forever, but it’s been discontinued, so now I’m using this red — my signature shade — and there’s a nice warmth to it. I love dramatic lips for night.”
Laura Mercier long-lash mascara in black, €24.
“I’m not remotely brand loyal and love to take a wander through the Brown Thomas beauty hall to get new recommendations. At the moment, I am loving this mascara. It does what it says it will: it separates, makes lashes look lovely and long, plus it gives a bit of a curl. Plus, it doesn’t clump. It’s a real workhorse product.”
Palmer’s cocoa butter formula with vitamin E, €4.70.
“I brought my family up in the Indian Ocean and the locals there have such soft skin, thanks to cocoa butter. I’ve always used Palmer’s cocoa butter after I shower and the smell is divine. Skin is left so soft and it really does work.”
Olay anti-wrinkle 2-in-1 day cream and serum, €12.79.
“This Olay day cream with serum is fantastic stuff. It’s not greasy, but incredibly light. I use a pea-sized amount and my face just soaks it in.”
La Bougie honeysuckle and sea salt candle, from €25.
“My favourite from the La Bougie range is our new one. I’m very excited about it as it’s got quite an unusual combination of smells: the salty air and seagrass. plus the honeysuckle of the Indian Ocean. It reminds me of care-free days by a beach.”
Clarins eau dynamisante, €40.67.
“I am always looking for something new and exciting, but one I’ve always used is eau dynamisante. In summer, I keep it in the fridge. It’s so refreshing, like a body spray. It’s not too long-lasting but it’s the only constant.”
