Irish Olympic superstar Rhasidat Adeleke brushed shoulders with pop royalty on Tuesday evening — and found out she has fans in high places.

The 22-year-old met Rihanna at her Fenty Hair event in London on Tuesday night, and discovered the 'We Found Love' singer has been following her sporting journey. 

Sharing a clip of the moment the two chatted for the first time on her Instagram, Rihanna can be heard shouting, “I follow you!” as she pulled the Irish sprinter in for a hug.

Rhasidat captioned the post: “Fan girl moment meeting @badgalriri. Such an inspiration & forever breaking barriers in the industry.

“My younger self would’ve never thought that Rihanna would be following me & my journey!” 

Following the post up with an explanation on her Instagram story, the Tallaght-born sprinter said Rihanna was a "real OG" fan, revealing the star has been keeping up with her journey since 2022.

The runner recently chatted to the Irish Examiner about her race-day beauty routine where she name-checked Rihanna's Fenty lip gloss as one of her favourite products.

"If I had to pick one product forever, it would definitely be lip gloss," she said. "I love the Fenty Gloss Bomb in Hot Chocolate."
