74th Cannes Film Festival rolls out red carpet

The Cannes Film Festival has rolled out the red carpet for the first time in more than two years, launching the French Riviera spectacular with the premiere of Leos Carax’s Annette.

Spike Lee’s jury was also introduced as the 74th festival began amid high hopes of shrugging off a punishing pandemic year for cinema.
