The season finale of The Late Late Show will be a star-studded affair as some of the best known Irish faces in the worlds of sport, film and music all join Ryan Tubridy.

President Michael D Higgins will also be on the show in an interview which will be pre-recorded at the gardens at Áras an Uachtaráin.

After her memorable performance of her hit Nothing Compares 2 U earlier this year, Sinead O'Connor returns to the studio where she will perform again. Also performing on the show will be Sibéal Ní Chasaide.

Irish soccer's record goalscorer Robbie Keane will also appear as well to discuss how the lockdown has affected him and the fundraising he has done for Irish hospitals.

Hollywood stars Saoirse Ronan and Colin Farrell will also be joining the show from LA.

Reflecting on the season, host Tubridy remembered those who passed away in the last year.

"This season we lost Gay Byrne, such an iconic person in my life, professionally and personally. We also had to say goodbye to Marian Finucane and Larry Gogan - all true legends of Irish broadcasting. It has been an emotional, difficult, poignant, and joyful season overall," he said.
