Meet Dermot Bannon’s feistiest clients to date, Daniel and Majella O’Donnell

Ireland's favourite architect returns with a brand new series of Room to Improve this Sunday night and first to get the Dermot Bannon treatment is the Donegal home of singer Daniel O'Donnell and his wife Majella.

Who have since been deemed as the programmes feistiest and single-minded clients to date.

Walking into the master bedroom of their large four-bed detached home in Kincasslagh, west Donegal, the singer immediately tells Bannon that there’s nothing wrong with the room and he’s not “changing it”.

Majella then suggests the cosy simplicity of her holiday cottage on Owey island with Dermot, who has other plans and attempts to sell his vision of a Scandinavian wood interior to the couple.

Let’s just say the couple were determined to get their way.

Wee Daniel is just interested in salvaging wardrobes and adding an ensuite bathroom to every bedroom in the house.

Whatever happens, this looks set to be the most memorable saga yet of the ‘homes of Donegal’.
