James Blunt has announced he's back in the music biz with this brilliant tweet

James Blunt is known for two things (depending on which era you were born in).

1. His 2009 hit Beautiful which accompanied THAT iconic video.

2. His extremely entertaining Twitter account.

Today the eras collided when the singer tweeted that he will be releasing an album in 2017.

And it was 61 characters of pure brilliance.

The tweet has gained over 42,000 retweets and 68,000 likes.

James has previously admitted that he was forced to sign up to Twitter by his record label.

"My record label set up the account and asked me to answer people, so I did,” he said.

“Then they phoned me up and asked me to stop."
