The Coronas announce open air Irish gig

We know, an open air Irish gig has a strange ring to it, but it’s a thing.

The Coronas have announced that they are to play in the courtyard of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham on July 1 of next year.

Just a day after the band will play Live at the Marquee in Cork on June 30.

Kilmainham holds a special place for frontman Danny O’Donoghue as he, along with his siblings, sang a rendition of Grace within the walls of the gaol in honour of this year’s 1916 centenary.

The band are also set to play three sold-out shows at The Olympia next month.

Tickets on sale Thursday November 17 at 9am from all usual Ticketmaster outlets.
