Poldark stars meets fans at special screening in Cornwall

Several lucky Poldark fans got to rub shoulders with the man himself at a special screening in Cornwall to mark the start of the new season.

Aidan Turner (who plays Cornish mine owner Ross Poldark) and his co-stars including Eleanor Tomlinson and Jack Farthing were among those who walked the red carpet at the White River Cinema in St Austell.

The actor looked suave in a bomber jacket and white top, with his curly hair pulled back, as he posed for pictures with fans.

Eleanor looked as elegant as her character Demelza as she walked the carpet in heels and a short lacy dress.

The premiere was held just ahead of the new series starting.

The season picks up where the last left off, with Poldark facing trial and possible hanging with he and Demelza having just lost their daughter, Julia.

Poldark will also venture back into smuggling and become embroiled in several battles with arch-rival George Warleggan, played by Jack.
