It was a fresh and feisty looking Imelda May that took to the stage at Live at the Marquee with a new-look do, but her classic, rock, pop, blues and soul sound remained untouched, much to the delight of the eager Cork audience, writes Roisin Burke.

The pop-rock princess did not disappoint her legion of fans who were in awe of her new hairstyle, which was the talk of the mosh-pit for much of the night.
