Rock star Meat Loaf is recovering in hospital in Canada after collapsing on stage during a concert.

The 68-year-old was taken ill on Thursday night "due to severe dehydration near the end of his concert at the Northern Jubilee Auditorium in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada," his agent said.
